D-Lub9™ was introduced to the dental profession in November 1997, following more than four years of development and field testing. The base fluid of D-Lub9™ is a synthetic hydrocarbon with proprietary ingredients that increase the fluid's lubricity and resistance to oxidation and oil/water emulsification. The additives, and the fluid as a whole, are designed to combat the forces of friction and heat which are detrimental to the life of high speed dental handpiece bearings.
